Description

Quick capture from great dark skies in rural GA, nearly bortle 3, using a stock Canon R6 and the RF 85L @ f/2. A stack of 40 x 30s exposures at iso1600 tracked with a SkyGuider Pro. The image quality on this lens at f/2 is outstanding. This is actually a crop from a mosaic I tried to do capturing the best area I had around Cassiopeia. No calibration frames, stacked with APP. No stars harmed in this image... no star reduction or removal.

The farmer who lives next to the cemetery came out to check up on who was hanging out in the middle of nowhere in a cemetery at night, and we had a great chat about the night sky and how blessed he is to be able to see it like this all the time (nearly bortle 3) while 95% of the people east of the Mississippi do not. During our chat the best meteor Ive seen this year, a -3 or -4 northern taurid fireball streaked across the edge of Cassiopeia towards Polaris!
